AmeriHealth Caritas Adds New States and Counties to Its Health Insurance Marketplace® Footprint
AmeriHealth Caritas Next℠ Debuts in Louisiana, Expands to New Counties in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina for 2026
Thousands of Health Insurance Marketplace enrollees across multiple states have a new coverage option for 2026 as AmeriHealth Caritas is expanding the availability of its marketplace product, AmeriHealth Caritas Next
New
- Louisiana: Entering the marketplace in southern Louisiana’s Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, and West Baton Rouge Parishes.
Growing
- Florida: Adding four counties around Greater Orlando (Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole) to its existing South Florida service area.
- North Carolina: Expanding further east with the addition of Granville and Warren Counties to its current 39 counties in the state’s western and Triad regions.
- South Carolina (under the First Choice Next℠ brand): Adding new three counties in the Upstate region (Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union), to go along with its current 17 counties covering the state’s other largest metropolitan areas.
AmeriHealth Caritas Next will also continue to be available in all three Delaware counties.
AmeriHealth Caritas Next enrollees can choose from a variety of bronze-level, silver-level, and gold-level plans. The annual open enrollment period is underway, and those choosing a plan by Dec. 15 will have coverage take effect Jan. 1, 2026.
