AmeriHealth Caritas Next℠ Named Best Health Insurance in Florida and Delaware
Forbes Advisor has named AmeriHealth Caritas Next, AmeriHealth Caritas’ Health Insurance Marketplace® product, the best health insurance in Florida and Delaware.
This honor highlights AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies’ dedication to delivering comprehensive coverage and exceptional service to its marketplace members.
In both markets Forbes Advisor cited AmeriHealth Caritas Next’s low silver plan deductibles and minimal consumer complaints to state insurance departments. In Florida Forbes also praised AmeriHealth Caritas Next’s comparatively low premiums.
Marketplace enrollees in Delaware and in Florida’s Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties have been able to choose AmeriHealth Caritas Next since January 2023.

Individuals and families can compare and shop for different plans on the Health Insurance Marketplace. All marketplace plans must cover 10 essential benefits that range from emergency and ambulatory services to mental health and prescription drug benefits.
Customers can choose between gold plans with higher premiums but lower deductibles and co-pays; silver plans with moderate premiums, deductibles, and co-pays; and bronze plans with lower premiums but higher deductibles and co-pays. Some plans are available with low or zero premiums after federal government subsidies.
In addition to Delaware and Florida, AmeriHealth Caritas also offers Health Insurance Marketplace plans in select counties in North Carolina and (under the name First Choice Next) South Carolina.
The annual open enrollment period runs Nov. 1, 2024 – Jan. 15, 2025, and those who choose a plan by Dec. 15 will have coverage take effect on Jan. 1.
